We are looking for motivated staff members who are interested in local food systems to join our team for our summer growing season (May-Novembers).  Copicut Farms is passionate about a local food system that allows our community to have access to healthy humanely raised meat and eggs. We are looking for staff to support our home delivery service and attend regional farmers markets. 

The positions are flexible with part-time and full-time schedules available. 

We are looking for staff members that:

Positions are flexible based on candidates interests but may include:

  • Staffing local farmers markets.
  • Delivering local food to homes.
  • Helping process local meat in a small scale processing facility. 
  • General tasks related to sales: helping pack delivery orders, unloading and loading farmers market materials, operating a POS system while at markets, interacting with customers, etc. 


  • Independent worker with a positive attitude.
  •  Must be able to lift 50 pounds. 
  • Must have a valid driver's license free of restrictions.
  • Some customer service or food service experience is a plus.
  • Compensation:  $16/hr plus weekly meat and egg stipend.


COMPENSATION:  $19/hour, ~ 35-40 hours per week, plenty of free meat and eggs


We are currently seeking a full-time assistant farm manager.  This is a seasonal position, lasting from late March through Thanksgiving with potential year-round work for the right candidate.  This employee will act as an assistant to the farm manager.  Work will take place both independently and as a team.  When working as a team, the assistant farm manager will be expected to act as a crew leader when the farm manager is not present.  Work will generally take place 6-10 hours per day, 5 days a week during the early morning to late afternoon.  

Responsibilities will vary from day to day, but may include:

  • Feeding, watering, and maintenance of livestock
  • Moving animal fencing
  • Crating, slaughtering, and packaging of poultry
  • Transporting of livestock from breeders and to a processing facility
  • Cleaning of animal housing
  • Management of on-site composting operations
  • General carpentry 


  • Positive attitude and a friendly demeanor is a must
  • Experience with livestock husbandry
  • Candidates must be able to work the entire duration of the position - from late March through November.
  • Ability to operate various farm equipment including tractors, skid steers, loaders, trucks and trailers in a safe and conscientious manner.
  • Ability to work at least one day per weekend.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to supervise others
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Attention to detail


POSITION SUMMARY:  We are currently seeking full-time (30-40 hrs/week) farm staff to help with our 2022 farming season.  Work will take place from late March through November with the potential for year-round work for the right candidates.  Work hours will generally be early mornings through late afternoons 6-10 hours/day.  

Responsibilities will vary from day to day, but may include:

  • Feeding, watering, and maintenance of livestock
  • Moving animal fencing
  • Slaughtering and packaging of poultry
  • General carpentry 
  • Driving meat orders to home delivery customers

COMPENSATION:  $16/hr. Plenty of free meat and eggs. Weekly paychecks.  If you are interested in farming you will particularly appreciate a hands-on opportunity to learn various aspects of livestock production, processing, and sales.  We are always excited to teach.
